Beckett is back! When a beautiful, rain-soaked stranger slips out of a storm and into Beckett's car, he has no idea the chaos it will bring. Within hours he finds himself in Richmond, Missouri—the middle of the center of the heart of America—and the dead bodies start piling up fast. Weird thing is, the dead bodies are all over 80. And they're all Polish immigrants, child survivors of the Nazi death camps. But who would want to kill a bunch of octogenarians, and why? What do they know that Beckett doesn't? With time running out before the next victim loses his life, Beckett's got to unravel the clues and reveal a secret that has been buried for more than seventy years. A secret going back to the earliest days of World War II.
Death Taxes a Jamie Beckett fiasco Bruce Call Books
I'm loving these Jamie Beckett novels. Death and Taxes is a great new fiasco in a totally different setting with some great new characters, but still the same, awesome Beckett. As far as Bruce Call novels go, I would put this one between Toppled Cross (my favorite so far) and Deadlock, but they're all great well worth the read. Death and Taxes is fun because you get just enough information to start making your own guesses at the mystery, but not enough to know if your guesses are right. It's a fun ride and keeps you wondering what will happen next and who done it.Product details

Death Taxes a Jamie Beckett fiasco Bruce Call Books Reviews
Well written and quite funny. It claims to be a Jamie Beckett "Fiasco" and it is, but he's quite the interesting guy. I hope Bruce writes more in this series because I've really enjoyed the first two!
Great story. Best yet, Bruce Had me revetted to the page to find out who dunnit.. What's Beckett going to get into next?
LOVED it! The funny/witty/more relatable version of Robert Langdon in a gripping plot.
Beckett is amusing and self confident. The premise of the story is new and unexpected.
Once into the story it becomes fast paced and intriguing.
Thanks do much for providing another enjoyable read... Just for the fun of it. I think Jamie Beckett is the perfect character role. Keep them coming!
Loved this book. Very clever plot line that kept you wondering how everything going on could possibly make sense, but it comes together very satisfactorily in the end. Very well written, interesting, and a lot of fun to read.
